Please note:
Dignity and modesty are stressed at all time. Dancers must have their legs covered in pants or long skirts in class. No showing of the
abdomen is necessary (although the teachers will show theirs to explain a move), and many costumes indeed cover the dancer, sometimes
in roomy dresses, from shoulder to ankle, especially American Tribal Style and Egyptian style dresses. Any accommodations due to
beliefs or religion can and will be glady done.
Beginner Dance (till 5/23):
Beginner dance classes are able to be joined at any point, if an orientation class is attended
first.  Beginner classes are Monday at 6:30 p.m. at the Washington Cty. Rec Center and
Thursdays at 6:00 a.m., starting in late June.  At the studio, beginner classes are 5:00 and 6:00
p.m. Tuesdays, and an intermediate beginner 6:00 Thursday p.m.  Wednesdays available upon
request.  You will learn technique, foundation, basic moves, and a 3.5 minute choreography.

Intermediate Dance (till 5/23):
Intermediate classes focus upon correct dance posture, polishing arm and hip technique,                 
        layering, level changes, turns with and without veils, isolations and locks, and                          
step  combinations.  You will learn a choreography totwo songs, 3.5 to 4.5 minutes each. Classes
are 4:30 Monday (Technique based), 4:30 Thursday (Technique and choreography based),  
Thursday (tribal fusion based), Friday at 3:30.

High Intermediate Dance:
High Intermediate dance runs after Intermediate dance.  Topics included are: developing
personal style, choreographies, veil and double veil work, wings, further layering and shimmy work,
spins and turns, and choosing music for dancing.  You will learn a choreography to music of your
choosing.  Class is 7:00 p.m. Sunday.
